Police Search For Suspect In Armed Robbery At Convenience Store In Pittsfield

Police in Western Mass are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a convenience store while threatening the clerk with a knife.

The robbery took place in Berkshire County around 8 p.m., Sunday at the Lipton Mart located at 580 North St., in Pittsfield, said Lt. John Soules, of the Pittsfield Police.

An investigation found that a man entered the store, threatened the clerk with a knife, and demanded cash, Soules said.

He left with a small amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction, Soules added.
